Second concert down, none to go. Adam has left the midwest, on his way to the south, the west coast, and then overseas. Maybe I should figure out how to go to the show in Hawaii.
The second show was as good as the first. I never thought it would happen- Indianapolis was just THAT spectacular. And while I wouldn't say that Peoria was better, it was still fantastic.
Once again, Ali was pretty good. I still couldn't understand what she was saying most of the time, but she was high energy and enthusiastic and the audience was pretty receptive.
So here's my story. Prepare for a picspam. I know I'm posting a lot of them, but it could have been worse, OK? I could have attached all 155 of them.
Between sets I got to look around some. The first thing I noticed was the security.
Good thing nobody got rowdy.
The next thing I noticed was the variety of fans.

The last guy? 78 years old and dancing up a storm.
The crowd was a blast. Here's a picture of the dance party going on.

And there was, of course, another Balcony Guy. I got videos this time. The song he's dancing to is Beat It (hard to hear in video link)Click the picture to link to the video.

The show itself was a incredible. Adam was in a great mood. Very playful with the band and the dancers. There were cute boys at the front of the stage too. "I love seeing the boys in glitter and leather." The opening medley was great, and he sounded fantastic on Ring of Fire.

Fever was hot.

Look how pretty he looked during Whataya Want from Me.

The whole acoustic section was Adam as the love doctor. "People look in all the wrong places for love. Like picking people up in a bar. That's no way to find true love. I mean, it could happen, but what are the odds?"
Sure Fire Winners was as good as I've heard him do it. The high notes were out of this world.

Encore was Twentieth Century Boy- an old T-Rex classic. The audience went beserk and Adam loved it. And loved a bench up too.

The audience was so loud, chanting his name, screaming until my ear drums vibrated.
Adam seemed to enjoy every minute of it. We all know how charismatic he is, and he talks about how energized he is by his audience. It's fascinating to watch it in person. He was practically vibrating with joy by the end of the night. He was glowing. And I know that sounds weird to say, but there you have it. If happiness is visible, you could see it radiating off of him. The audience loved him, he loved us, and everybody was happy.
There was a huge crowd out by the buses.

Tommy and Monte signed autographs too.

Sorry. I couldn't get a picture of Monte too.
And then Adam came out. He was friendly, worked both sides of the line, and then went between the buses to sign for the people standing in the street. There was a man in his 50's standing behind me talking to his wife. She talked about Adam's gorgeous voice, and he talked about how interesting he was to just listen to when he talks. His wife teased him about having a man-crush. One of the roadie types was talking to a cute young woman, and I heard him say that Adam is just as nice as he seems- that he had seldom seen him anything but calm. It started to rain before Adam was done signing, but the long haired bus driver just popped open an umbrella and they kept going.

Finally- here's the bus pulling out. The lights are on and the leg you see is Sasha's, who had her iPod in her ears and was dancing in her seat. That left me laughing as I walked back to the hotel.
